The Qunafa Bike
During the early stages of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020, Qunafa Experiences seemed at risk of becoming obsolete. However, behind the scenes, we were hard at work, revising our plans and focusing on the development of Qunafa’s titanium All-road bikes. Our initial roadmap had to shift, and we used this time to refine our design through multiple iterations.
We focused on three key priorities for the bike: first, comfort—ensuring it could support longer rides without causing fatigue. Second, stiffness—to reduce friction and enhance climbing efficiency. And third, creating the perfect descent experience—smooth, controlled, and seamless through corners. With these goals in mind, we pushed forward and eventually developed a bike that met all our expectations.
Once the bike was ready, we tested it extensively for stiffness and comfort across diverse terrains, including the YAS Circuit in Abu Dhabi, San Diego, San Francisco, and Sicily. Each location presented unique challenges, and the results exceeded our expectations.
The ride was magical and the customer feedback made us feel pride in the work that our team had put into getting the wheels on the ground. The unique design itself proved to be a head-turner for the locals and cyclists on the road.
Why Did We Name the Bicycle Model “Shahrazad”?
A vengeful king, betrayed by his own wife, vows to marry and execute a new woman each day. Queen Shahrazad saves herself by captivating the king with unfinished stories (Arabian Nights is one of those stories) for one thousand and one nights, ultimately changing his heart.
We named our bike Shahrazad, drawing inspiration from the storytelling queen. The more you ride, the more stories you'll create... now it's our riders turn, to continue the story beyond a thousand and one nights.
